  1. Visit Las Palmas

Las Palmas is the heart of Gran Canaria. In fact, it is the capital city of this amazing island. While you might wonder that a city would again be crowded and discomforting during a vacation, however, Las Palmas is worth the visit. Also, it is not very crowded or noisy as most of the cities these days. It is home to an amazing beach by the name of Las Canteras. This beautiful beach offers an amazing view of the sun as well as the island’s coastline. Vegueta, a place in Las Palmas, is a must visit too. It holds immense historical significance and is home to several monuments, museums and houses. It includes the likes of the house of Christopher Columbus, the Canarian Museum, Calle Triana, etc.

After Las Palmas, another interesting place to visit is the town of Firgas. Firgas is a township/village that brings out the true essence of Gran Canaria. It is one of the oldest places to visit on this island. It is a depiction of the native culture of Gran Canaria. This place brings one close to the people of Gran Canaria and its surrounding areas. The town consists of some iconic walkways and waterfalls. All in all, it is an absolute pleasure to visit this town and have a stroll here. Specifically, Paseo de Canario is a place worth visiting in this town. Firgas is located in the mountains and therefore, it is home to a wide variety of flora and fauna. Also, it offers an amazing view of the amalgamation of the mountains, rivers and the landscape.

Roque Nublo is a mountain range consisting of the third highest peak of the Gran Canarian region. It is a delight for the eyes and is located more than 1800 meters above the sea level. It provides a complete 360 degrees from its peak and is a must visit. An amazing feature of this mountain peak is that you can view the entire Tejeda village located in Gran Canarian. The village too is extremely beautiful and viewing it from height makes it all the more exciting.

Some other recommended places that you can visit here would include Pico De Las Nieves, Aguimes, Barranco De Las Vacas and Las Villas de Cruz Mayor.
